Protection & Advocacy Needs Your Input

Protection & Advocacy (P&A) wants to get this information out to as many folks as possible!  In addition to the survey (below), there will be a statewide IVN meeting on August 24th where participants can also make comments regarding P&A’s proposed priorities and activities (see attached flyer).  Please feel free to share this with others!

Protection & Advocacy Public Comment – FY 2018 Priorities

The Protection & Advocacy Project (P&A) advocates for the legal rights of people with disabilities in North Dakota.  Each year P&A solicits input on proposed priorities for the coming year.  Our programs follow the federal fiscal year, which starts October 1, 2017 and runs through September 30, 2018.

P&A’s proposed priorities for fiscal year 2018 are now available. These are specific to the advocacy programs for assistive technology, developmental disabilities, mental health, brain injury, and individual rights.  In these times of shrinking resources, we need input on how to best focus and serve people with disabilities through these programs.

The following survey will allow you to review the proposed priorities for the programs in which you have an interest and provide feedback.  PLEASE RESPOND BY AUGUST 31, 2017.

If you would rather provide comment via phone or in writing, please contact P&A at 328-2950 or 1-800-472-2670 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. P&A staff can take down your thoughts or send you a written survey. If information is needed in an alternative format, just let us know.

Thank you!
