Disabilities-Related Legislation from the 2019 Legislative Session

GREETINGS!

Happy New Year!  The 2019 Legislative Session is set to begin tomorrow!  In preparation for this, the first review of pre-filed bills has been completed.  Attached you will find the “GRID” which includes those bills that are disability-related.  So far, the hearing schedule only shows hearings for next Monday, January 7th.  None of the bills on the GRID are scheduled for hearing that day.  The hearing schedule for the rest of next week will reportedly be out this Friday, at which time the GRID will be updated and resent to you.  If you find disability-related bills that I’ve missed, please feel free to contact me.

If you are not familiar with the Legislative Working Committees, they are gatherings for individuals with disabilities, family members, advocacy organizations, providers, professionals, policy-makers, etc. to talk about disability-related legislation.  Members will discuss bills and hear information about hearings that have been held.  Everyone is welcome!  Please share this with others!
